Welcome to the campaign page for Tracie Peterson's newest book in the Land of the Shining Water series, The Quarryman's Bride. Tracie is celebrating with a "True Love" $200 Anthropologies

Emmalyne Knox and Tavin MacLachlan were destined to be together...until the tragic deaths of Emmalyne's youngest sisters. Family tradition mandates that the youngest daughter should remain single to care for her parents in their old age, and now that daughter is Emmalyne. Her father unyielding, Emmalyne surrenders to her duty, heartbroken. Tavin leaves town, equally devastated.

Years later, Emmalyne's family moves, and she and Tavin meet again. Their feelings for each other are as strong as ever, but their painful past and Emmalyne's father still stand between them. Soon both families are in the midst of the growing conflict rising between the workers at the granite quarry that Tavin's father owns and operates. When a series of near-fatal accidents occur, Tavin must figure out who is behind the attacks before someone gets killed.

Bound by obligation, yet yearning for a future together, can Emmalyne and Tavin dare to dream that God could heal a decade-long wound and change the hearts of those who would stand in the way of true love?

This one kind of reminds me of an old movie called Anne of Green Gables.  Where it took three movies for them to finally get together.  I have a special place for Historical Romances and this one doesnt disappoint.  It is a sweet story that starts with a question:  What would you do if honoring your parents meant sacrificing your own heart's desire?  Now I think in this day and age that this is a question that would get slapped in the face!  But back then you pretty much did what your parents wanted. This one had a wonderful twisting plot involving a potential rival for Emmalyne’s affections. I love that the author doesnt fake details!  She is known for her research and historical detail and that certainly plays a huge part in this book! This book will suck you back in time to the 19th century.

Undeniably YoursWhen Meg Cole’s father dies unexpectedly, she’s forced to return home to Texas and to Whispering Creek Ranch to take up the reins of his empire. The last thing she has the patience or the sanity to deal with? Her father’s Thoroughbred racehorse farm. She gives its manager, Bo Porter, six months to close the place down.
Bo knows he ought to resent the woman who’s determined to take from him the only job he ever wanted. But instead of anger, Meg evokes within him a profound desire to protect. The more time he spends with her, the more he longs to overcome every obstacle that separates them and earn her love.
Just when Meg realizes she can no longer deny the depth of her feelings for Bo, their fragile bond is broken by a force from Meg’s past. Can their relationship–and their belief that God can work through every circumstance–survive?

ok 1 this is about the Porter family and well hey thats MY LAST NAME!  So how could I not love it? This is a great book about how to deal when loved ones die and how we pick up the pices after were left to deal with everything they left behind.  From her fathers racehorse farm to the man that worked for him.  This is definitely must read for fans of Wade's other books as well as those who love a good romance.

Lara Joyner has seen the signs in the direction the leaves blow, in the patterns made by the clouds at dawn, in her readings of the Tarot, and in the answers to her prayers. Her son Dale is the second coming of Christ. While that makes her responsibilities overwhelming, she can fail neither her son nor humanity. But to sit on the throne next to the Almighty will be her reward. Once Dale's true identity is revealed, Lara will forever be known as the mother of God. Dale is not quite certain what it might mean to be Jesus, but he knows that if he at least goes through the motions, he can keep his mother from hearing the voices, and, perhaps, protect himself and his younger brother Louis from danger. Incarnate follows Lara and her sons as she attempts to have him perform miracles. If he could only realize his power, she knows his destiny and hers. Their world turned upside down by their mother's hallucinations, Dale and Louis try to make sense of what is happening and survive a life of mysterious dangers. Meanwhile, their father and older sister frantically search for the two boys to bring them to safety. A psychological study, Incarnate is a story of how delusion overpowers reason and how the resilience of youth can persevere.

This one was creepy as ****!  Read the description and if that doesnt creep you out than pick it up!

Seasons of Death

In the fall of 1969 in the mountains of eastern Tennessee, a poor backwoods farmer and his wife were brutally shot and killed by four drunken hunters, along with their three dogs, horse and two fawns. The farmer's two young sons managed to escape but were unable to identify the killers. Now decades later, the murders of the Pender family remain unsolved. In Townsend, Tennessee, in Blount County, someone has decided to take revenge.

This one just didnt do it for me and I ended up putting it down.

{Book Tour} The End Was Not the End

| Saturday, June 1, 2013
Heroes prevail... usually. You sit close to a campfire, depending on its faint, flickering light to ward off the darkness. Yet the fire cannot hold back dark memories, thoughts of your fallen kingdom, of monsters across the land, of magic gone awry. Around fires like yours are seated other travelers, refugees from catastrophes none dare mention. Kings and queens huddle shoulder to shoulder with peasants, wizards share scraps with slaves, and each wishes only to be saved. Some will be lucky, for heroes yet remain in their lands. For others, hope was not among the provisions stuffed into a pack when fleeing home. Eventually the silence of the night grows too heavy, and someone speaks. They tell a tale of loss, of foolish pride and tragic mistake. With bravery stoked by company, others speak up, each sharing their own sorrows. Before long, there are enough tales to fill a volume. The conversations continue through the night, and by the time dawn has filtered through the gnarled tree limbs, journeys must continue, and one by one, the strangers trudge away. Their worlds may have ended, but they have survived another night. They will continue on, seeking to rebuild upon the ruins of great dreams. Their stories linger upon the air, drifting into time like the smoke from their extinguished fires, fed only by faint embers. This book contains eleven stories set in worlds where an apocalypse has already come, but the characters you'll read about aren't quite ready for the end.

This one was wonderful.
With 11 shot stores all where the end has already happened this book will take you on the ride of your life! 4 Stars

Catch a Falling StarWhat does a girl do when life doesn’t go according to her plan?At 36, Kendall Haynes has seen some of her dreams come true. She’s a family physician helping kids with severe allergies and asthma achieve more fulfilling lives—a childhood struggle she knows all too well. But the feeling of being “the kid never picked” looms large when romance continues to evade her and yet another one of her closest friends gets engaged. Are Kendall’s dreams of having it all—a career, a husband, children—nothing more than childish wishing upon a star? Should she hold out for her elusive Plan A? Dust off Plan B? Or is it time to settle? God says he knows the plans he has for her—why can’t Kendall figure them out and be content with her life?
Griffin Walker prefers flying solo—both as an Air Force pilot and in his personal life. But a wrong choice and health problems pulled him out of the cockpit. His attempts to get out of “flying a desk” are complicated by his parents’ death—making Griffin the reluctant guardian of his sixteen-year-old brother, Ian. How did his life get so off course? Can God get his life back on track … or has there been a divine plan all along?
Catch a Falling Star reminds readers that romance isn’t just for twenty-somethings and that sometimes letting go of your “wish I may, wish I might” dreams is the only way to embrace everything God has waiting for you.

This one was wonderful! We follow Kendall Haynes whom is a doctor and at 36 she wonders what most single woman her age.  When will my life begin? Will I find the love of my life?  Where is my prince charming?  The book starts out with her birthday and her three best friends.  Each of them started out as single doctors but Dr. Haynes is the last one to find a husband.  Then to make matters worse she finds out that her baby sister is also getting married.  I dont want to get to much into this book as I dont want to give to much away.  But with everyone around Kendal either married or getting married this is one story that will turn you on your head and show you that sometimes faith is all you need.

{Book Tour} An Unforgiving Land

| Thursday, May 30, 2013
An Unforgiving LandIn the desert life is hard. It can also be surreal. In the absence of congestion and convention, imagination takes you by the hand... or the balls. In this macabre collection of riveting tales, Jason S. Walters grabs the reins of storytelling as if it were a wild stallion. The minds of mistreated animals and people are turned inside out for us to peruse and rubberneck. He leads the reader into ambushes and acrimony, desperation and sorrow. Under or behind every rock in his wilderness lurks something hideous or heinous, building your fear upward to pinnacle heights. The actions taken by his victims, whether villains or visitors, are uncompromising and often fatal. There is no neutral ground in his western Mecca for misfits.

This one was very odd.  It is a collection of short stories all set in the Black Rock Desert.  From monsters to a hint of the paranormal this one was just odd.  But a good odd.  I would deff pick it up if this is your thing! Another one that is a solid 3 stars!

{Book Tour} The Eyes of Sandala

| Wednesday, May 29, 2013

The Eyes of SandalaLike the Navi on Pandora, the exotic warrior race called Shala dominates the continent of Sandala. Over seven feet tall and as strong as three men, the dark-skinned Shala share a life-long bond with wild felines. The fierce fighters are blessed with telepathic powers, and have eyes that radiate a kaleidoscope of colors. The Shala live apart from the humans of Sandala, dwelling inside the crater of an extinct volcano. But when invaders appear, they must obey the prophecy and rise to defend the land. It will take all the cunning and guile of their young leader, Tahjeen Tier, to contend with assassination and betrayal, and a massive army poised to attack.

This is one of those books that you want to really like.  But it is predictable so it lowers the value just a tad.  Other than that it was a pretty good book.  So its a solid three stars for me.

When her high-school-sweetheart-turned-Marine-officer breaks up instead of proposing, Susanna scrambles to rebuild her life.

The last thing Prince Nathaniel expects to find on his American holiday to St. Simon’s Island is the queen of his heart. A prince has duties, and his family’s tense political situation has chosen his bride for him. When Prince Nathaniel comes to Susanna’s aid under the fabled Lover’s Oak, he is blindsided by love.

The Face of the Earth: A Novel Mitchell Brannon’s beloved wife of twenty years kisses him goodbye one autumn morning, he has little idea that his life is about to change forever. Mitch returns from work early that evening, surprised Jill’s car isn’t in the garage. Her conference in Kansas City is only a few hours’ drive from their little town of Sylvia, Missouri. But her voice on the answering machine makes him smile. “Hey, babe, I’m just now checking out of the hotel, but I’ll stop and pick up something for dinner. Love you.”
Mitch sets the table with their best china and lights some candles, looking forward to their first weekend as empty nesters.
But at eight o’clock, the candles have burned to stubs and Jill still hasn’t shown up. Mitch tries her cell phone only to get her voice mail over and over again. Their two college kids haven’t heard from their mom either.
At midnight, Mitch’s irritation turns to dread. And later, when the police and Missouri Highway Patrol have turned up nothing, the Kansas City hotel calls to say they’ve found property belonging to Jill in a hotel maid’s possession.
Mitch enlists the help of their next-door neighbor, Jill’s best friend, Shelley, and together they search for clues to Jill’s disappearance. As days turn into weeks and weeks into months, Mitch and Shelley’s friendship grows ever closer—and decidedly complicated with Jill as the tie that binds them together. Just when Shelley decides to finally reveal her feelings for Mitch, a clue to Jill’s whereabouts is uncovered. But every lead seems to be a dead end, and Mitch wonders how he can honor the vows he made to a woman who has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth.

Well I have heard a lot about this book and I must say that if you are into Christian Fiction and you only read one this year.  That this is the one you will want to grab! This book is filled with love, loss, enduring faith and forgiveness.  This book has it all and will make you want to read it until the end. By the end of the book you will care for these characters and you will be so happy with the end.

Southern Witch will put a spell on you!

Would-Be Witch (Southern Witch, #1)The promising debut of a hot new voice in paranormal romance-and the first of the Southern Witch novels.

The family magic seems to have skipped over Tammy Jo Trask. All she gets are a few untimely visits from long-dead, smart-mouthed family ghost Edie. But when her locket-an heirloom that happens to hold Edie's soul-is stolen in the midst of a town-wide crime spree, it's time for Tammy to find her inner witch.

After a few experiences with her dysfunctional magic, Tammy turns to the only person in small-town Duval, Texas, who can help: the very rich and highly magical Bryn Lyons. He might have all the answers-and a 007savoir faire to boot-but the locket isn't the only heirloom passed down in Tammy's family. She also inherited a warning: stay away from Lyons.

Barely Bewitched (Southern Witch, #2)Welcome to Duvall, Texas, where new witch Tammy Jo Trask has just unleashed an accidental Armageddon…Oops.

Tammy Jo’s misfiring magic has attracted the unwanted attention of WAM, the World Association of Magic. Now, a wand-wielding wizard and a menacing fire warlock have come to Duvall to train her for a dangerous mandatory challenge. But is there more to their arrival than they claim?

When a curse leads to a toxic spill of pixie dust, the town comes unglued and the doors between the human and faery worlds begin to open. To rescue the town and to face the impossible magical test, Tammy needs the help of incredibly handsome Bryn Lyons, but WAM has declared him totally off-limits. To avoid deadly consequences, Tammy probably ought to follow the rules this time.

On the other hand, rebellion is an old Texas tradition

Halfway Hexed (Southern Witch, #3)New witch Tammy Jo Trask has a whole town full of trouble, in the latest from the national bestselling author of Barely Bewitched

First, there are the local residents who form a scripture-spouting posse and kidnap Tammy to "defend" Duvall, Texas, against witchcraft. Next, someone saddles her with a secret package chock full of dangerous visions, just as the president of WAM-the World Association of Magic- arrives with his entourage to investigate her. And who worse to examine Tammy's entanglement with off-limits and drop-dead gorgeous wizard Bryn Lyons than his ex-girlfriend? Not to mention that the clash between the locals and the magical visitors leads to a series of unnatural disasters that may doom them all.

While the fate of the town hangs in the balance, one thing's certain: this would-be witch is ready to rumble, Texas style.

Ok I LOVE THIS SERIES!!  I read all three books in one sitting. YES I was up half the night reading them!  I so cant wait to read more on Tammy Jo.  Although these are Paranormal Romance books which isnt something that I normally post here.  These are not your X rated version.  Although yes there is sex in them it isnt anywhere near what say 50 shades of gray.  And if you ask me thats a good thing!

Tammy Jo is a wonder cooky character that just came into her powers and well everything goes wrong with them!  But who comes to her rescue non other than Merc. Which is not man!!  Its her Cat!  Ok not a normal cat of course but a cat non the less.  And yes of course she has a crazy over protective ex husband who is nuts and a VERY sexy VERY off limits Bryn Lyons!  This series goes from a stolen locket with the family ghost named Edie inside.  To unleashing an accidental Armageddon of Pixie Dust. To even more mishaps in book three!  This time from non other than WAM the World Association of Magic who wont hesitate to wipe them all off the map!

This series will keep you on your toes and make you want to read more of this crazy sexy would be witch and all of her sexy friends!
