Please Welcome Author Sara Daniell!!!

| Monday, July 30, 2012
I'm excited to welcome author Sara Daniell to my blog today. Sara has recently published her newest book:

Title: Glimpse (The Dwellers Book #1)
Publication Date: July 2012
Blurb from Goodreads: Orion Draper is not your typical Dweller. She is a non-conformist with an insatiable appetite for adventure. And trouble. So it is no surprise when she finds herself eavesdropping on a Constable meeting. One word that makes no sense, "Earth", sends Orion on a quest for answers.

What is this "Earth"? And why has it never been mentioned before? Her search is soon over, but not without a heavy price to pay. Forced to leave behind the only home she has ever known, Orion fights for the chance to return. Every corner holds a new danger, and every shadow hides a secret. No one can be trusted, and no town is permanent.

Will Orion ever return to Dandux? Or is she forever condemned to repeat this hell she now knows?

A little about Sara:
26 year old mother, wife, self-published author, teacher, college student, saved by grace, sarcastic (extremely), love to laugh, hate fighting unless it is for something I believe in. Well that about sums me up. :)

And now, without further ado, I introduce to you author Sara Daniell:

1.When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

It is really hard to pinpoint when I first realized I wanted to be a writer. I have always loved to write. Most people thought I was weird when I actually enjoyed doing book reports and research papers in school. I have always loved to use my imagination and make up stories. But, I never thought about publishing anything until this past year. So, I guess I would say this past year I decided that I want the world to read my crazy stories and be a “writer”.2. How long does it take you to write a book?

It depends on what I have going on and how the story is flowing. It can take me only a few weeks to write a book or sometimes several months. 3. What do you think makes a great story?

Great-realistic characters. When I read books I like to feel what the character feels. If the characters in a book are dull, I usually won’t continue reading the book. Characters become our best friends while reading a book. I always say, “You know you have read a good book when you finish it and feel like you have lost a best friend."4.. Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

My crazy imagination! And I read and watch a lot of movies. Sometimes after reading a book or watching a movie, I will have that “ah-ha!” moment, and a story will just pop into my head. What is funny is, most of time, the story that pops into my head has absolutely nothing to do with what I just read or watched! It just opens a door for my imagination to run wild. 5. How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?

Six books. I have one that I am not sure if I will ever publish or not - still thinking about it. My favorite as of right now is the last book, Choices, of The Holly Nather Trilogy. 6. Do you have a favourite place you love to write?

I sit on my couch with my laptop and usually some sort of junk food, with my feet propped up, and while listening to music. 7. What do you like to do when you are not writing?

Spend time with my amazing husband and two daughters! I also love to read.
8. What are your favourite books and which authors inspire you?

I have soooooo many favorite books and there are so many authors who have inspired me. I will name a few: Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and anything by Bonnie Lamer. All three of these authors have inspired me in some way to publish my work.
9. Who is your favorite character that you've written and why?

Cohen in the last book, Choices, of The Holly Nather Trilogy. Cohen is based off the personality of my husband. I am seriously my husband’s biggest fan. He is the coolest person I know. For those that have read the whole trilogy, Cohen is getting his own book! Yay!!
18. What are you working on now?

I am working on the second book in The Dwellers Series which will be called “Sway” and “In Another Life: Cohen’s Tale”.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Sara! It was fun!

  7. It's amazing that authors can never seem to pin down *when* they decided they wanted to be an author...it's ingrained in their psyche! They've just always loved to write.

  14. Good interview. I like to hear where authors get their ideas. I've found that many songs have given me ideas. Now to just write the stories they inspire!
